Your Honor,
I have been contacting the DOJ for information on how to get this docket nearly daily for over 20 days, several times a day, and I was unable to get in touch with any clerk until the evening of 5/31/26 - when I was waiting at the court house for someone to walk in so I could just ask in person. Please feel free to pull all phone records for 554-4124 to see calls to DOJ and Lawyer lines. Texts were also sent along with reaching out on social media platforms.
On 4/25/26, Aysa (last name unknown) was present while I was in the holding cell, and after my arrest she requested information be sent to her. I sent the information to her via text under the impression that I would be contacted again. Further attempts at reaching out were met with silence until about 2 weeks ago. I ran into her and she apologized and stated I would get bumped so she could get a docket done.
I ran into Aysa several days after that and was told that there had been no luck and so I continued my pursuit to bring this to court on my own.
Since this docket has been created, I have continued to try to contact lawyers for advice in how to proceed moving forward. Furthermore, I now may have a lead on a potential lawyer for this case to represent me. It has been a difficult and long journey thus far, and if I didn't firmly believe that injustice has been done, I would have pled guilty and dropped it.
Sincerely,
Cali Jaye
